→ So your mark matches your message.

A logo that fits the brand we build. A brand-new mark, or a thoughtful refresh of the one you have, designed to match your clarified message everywhere it shows up: your website, your signage, your social profiles, your invoices.
When your words say one thing and your look says another, something feels off, even if your customer can’t name it. An outdated or mismatched logo quietly undermines every clear sentence around it. The fix isn’t always a reinvention. Sometimes it’s a refresh that keeps your equity and sharpens the edges.
Consistency is credibility. When your mark, your colors, and your message all agree, from the website to the truck to the business card, your audience reads you as established and intentional. That visual steadiness makes your promises easier to believe.
Whether we build your mark or refresh it, there are three essentials no professional logo should ever be missing.
01
Vector, not pixels
A real logo lives in a vectorized format, not a pixel based one. Many freelancers hand over a JPEG or PNG and call it done, and the problem shows up at the printer: pixels cannot scale, so signs and banners come back blurry. A vector file stays crisp from a business card to a billboard, and every logo we deliver includes it.
02
Works in black & white
Your logo won’t always sit on a clean white page. It gets overlaid on photos, busy background colors, embroidery, and packaging. It should make complete sense in black and white and stay recognizable and unaffected on any background, colorful image or plain white and black alike.
03
Icon + typography
A typographic logo uses a custom font treatment of your name as the visual recognition of your business. But many of the most recognized brands pair an icon with typography: Starbucks has a mermaid, Target a red target, Chick-fil-A a chicken. Done well, you’re remembered two ways, by the icon alone and by the complete logo.
We’ll help you decide which approach fits your brand, and build your mark so it passes every test above.
We begin with the message, because a logo is a promise compressed into a mark. Drawing on your clarified words, we explore directions that fit who your customers are and where the mark has to live: storefronts, uniforms, invoices, app icons, embroidery. A logo that only works on a big screen is only half a logo.
You review real concepts, not vague mood boards, and we refine from your reaction. If we are refreshing an existing mark, we identify what your customers already recognize and keep it, sharpening rather than erasing the equity you have spent years building.
When the mark is right, we deliver every version you will ever be asked for: full color, one color, dark and light backgrounds, print and web formats, all organized so your printer, your web designer, and your sign shop stop emailing you with file requests.
This is for organizations whose look has fallen behind their quality. If your work has grown up but your logo still says starter business, every first impression starts with an apology you cannot hear. It is also for teams mid rebrand, where a clarified message deserves a mark that matches it.
And it is for the owner squinting at a blurry file exported from a free logo maker a decade ago, wondering why the sign quote came back with a question mark. You do not need a design degree to feel when the mark is off. You just need someone who can fix it without losing what made it yours.
A right fitting logo removes friction you stopped noticing. Proposals look finished. Uniforms look intentional. The website, the truck, and the business card finally agree with each other, and that agreement reads as competence before a single word is exchanged.
There is an internal change too. Teams carry a mark they are proud of differently. The polo gets worn, the sticker goes on the laptop, the sign gets photographed. When your own people start showing off the brand, your marketing gains a dozen quiet volunteers.
We are a words first studio, and that is exactly why we care about your mark. Design is the outfit your message wears, and people do judge the outfit. A clarified message wrapped in a dated or mismatched look sends mixed signals, and mixed signals cost sales in ways no analytics report will ever show you.
In practice, the logo work usually rides alongside a bigger clarity project: a new Playbook, a new website, a refreshed presence. Getting the mark right at that moment means every deliverable that follows, site, signage, socials, and print, launches matched and consistent from day one, instead of retrofitting the look after the fact. It is a small project with a long shadow, in the best way.
Refresh or start over? If customers recognize your current mark, we usually keep its bones and modernize it. If the logo is fighting your message or was never designed to begin with, a clean start serves you better. We will give you a straight recommendation either way.
What files do I get? All of them: vector originals, print and web formats, color, one color, and reversed versions, organized in a folder your vendors can use without a single follow up email to you.
Do I need the Playbook first? It helps more than most people expect. A logo should express a clear message, and knowing that message before we draw saves rounds of guessing what your tagline should be. Many clients pair the two for exactly that reason.
Send us what you have, even if what you have is a decade old file and a wince. We will look at where your brand is headed, recommend a refresh or a rebuild, and show you what your mark could become. The version of your logo you stop apologizing for is closer than you think.
Let’s clarify your message and put it to work.
